Budleigh Salterton 2, Ottery St Mary 3 Ottery St Mary Under-16s continued their unbeaten season with a late goal to seal a place in the second round of the Exeter and District Youth League Under-16 KO Cup.
Ottery made a good start and raced into a two-goal lead with Luke Phillips and Jamie Hill the goal scorers.
However, the hosts stuck to their task well and just before the break Liam Liddell fired them back into contention.
The second half was end-to-end action, but there were no further goals until six minutes from time when the hosts levelled via the boot of Max Goodesmith.
With extra time looming, Ottery struck the winner when a ball into the area found Jacob Thomas who made no mistake.
After the final whistle, referee Mr Ray Leworthy praised both teams for a good game of football.
