Ottery St Mary youngsters James Tyler and Lawrence Walker played key roles in the Devon Under-12s 41-run win over Cornwall at Bovey Tracey.

Playing in their final game before the ESCA Festival at Taunton, Devon won the toss and batted first.

Walker hit a splendid 50 off 81 deliveries as Devon got to 104-2 after 30 overs.

That solid start was then rounded off to see Devon close on 162-7 with Walker top scoring with his knock of 57.

Tyler then claimed 2-13 from a four over spell as Cornwall were bowled out for 119.
