On a perfect morning for football, Warriors faced their two local rivals, West Hill and Honiton. Sidmouth attacked from the kick off but soon became frustrated by the superb West Hill keeper. A tremendous shot from Joe Lowe was tipped over the bar by the keeper and still the Warriors kept attacking, but to no avail. West Hill returned in the second half with new vigour but the Warriors' defence of Joe Buckland and Matt Jones stood firm. West Hill were denied the win by Sidmouth keeper Tobi Pugsley with a brave save and bruising to show for it. Despite the lack of goals it was a great game to watch.l The Warriors continued their attacking efforts from the first whistle and were rewarded with two goals by Kade Hayman. Honiton responded and pulled a goal back but Sidmouth replied with the best of the game with a move involving George Harris, Ethan Mead and finished off superbly by Ben Gosse to make it 3-1. Honiton had a corner which was unfortunately deflected off a Sidmouth player into his own net. Both teams were giving it their all but it was Sidmouth player Ethan Mead who was able to break down the right hand side to score from outside the box. Honiton pulled one back but Sidmouth hung on to claim the victory. Well done boys.
