Sidmouth Town Res 2, Broadclyst 1
a stunning goal from Sidmouth Reserves’ Tom Perryman earned them a first win in five matches, beating Broadclyst 2-1.
It was a demanding game as, after dominated the first 20 minutes, Sidmouth dropped off their game and allowed the visitors a foothold.
Thankfully, Jack Burgess made some good saves, then from a long throw Craig Badcock flicked on to Kev Dorman and he duly finished to give a half time score of 1-0.
Broadclyst started livelier in the second half and on the hour mark levelled things up from an own goal. With 20 minutes left Tom Perryman went on a jinky run and hit an unstoppable shot from 20 yards. Unfortunately, they had to play out the last 15 minutes with 10 men when Luke Kirby pulled up with a knee problem, but the whole team worked hard and impressed manager Nick Ogden.
