The East Devon Pétanque Club, who play at Thorn Park in Salcombe Regis, hosted the Honiton Club for a friendly match.
A mixture of doubles and triples were played in a friendly, competitive spirit.
The local club won the day by eight matches to four, but rivalry was soon forgotten as both teams retired to the clubhouse for tea organised by Jenny Lavender, with delicious cakes provided by Cilla and Mike Franks and Bryan Webber.
