The open session held at Sidmouth Tennis Club last Saturday was very successful.

The open session held at Sidmouth Tennis Club last Saturday was very successful, with a number of prospective new members visiting the club - all either took the opportunity to play some tennis with the members present to offer a warm welcome, or were given a conducted tour of the facilities on what was a bright and sunny morning .Once again, there were a number of enquiries for the junior coaching sessions run by LTA Coach Sue Wiltshire from parents keen to encourage their children to participate in such a healthy sport. Such is the level of interest shown in these open sessions, another is planned for next month, details of which will be publicised shortly. The recent LTA Matchplay Ratings tournament was a great success, coach Sue Wiltshire having to turn away some customers. The club have asked the LTA if they can hold another tournamentThe courts were used constantly and juniors, when not playing, were out practising on the free courts. Sam Rosam won the final match 7-6 in the 3rd set.
