Veteran golfer Less Pratt won the Sidmouth Jeweller’s Friday stableford with 41 points - five better than par, writes George Carr.
Close behind came two young guns; George Barber on 37 and Jamie Spiller with 36; two names, I predict, that will become very familiar throughout the county and perhaps, further afield!
Former County captain Neil Holland, whose fame has already gone before him, was kept back in fourth place on count back, even though he must have shot under-par (gross) on the day.
Amateur golf must be unique in so far as the better you get the better you need to be in order to win.
