Colaton Raleigh Football Club have had a number of brothers in their ranks during recent years. Olly and Alex Paget, Matt and Jeff Gorman, Richard and Tom Rapps, and Ally and Tristan Thomas have all played with distinction. This season Colaton Raleigh have James Santer and younger brother Ed Santer in the squad, but Raleigh can also now boast a triple whammy of three brothers in their ranks. Richard and Tom Rapps have been joined by younger brother Andrew who has signed for the club having reached his 16th birthday.Andrew Rapps is a promising young quick defender, whilst brother Tom Rapps who is 22 years old is a centre forward with blistering pace and an eye for goal, averaging in excess of 20 goals a season for the past four years. Elder brother Richard Rapps, 26, is a ball playing midfielder with dynamite in his boots who can be relied upon to contribute at least 15 goals a season with shots from outside the penalty area. It is possible that all three brothers will, at some point this season, feature together in the same Colaton Raleigh line- up.On Sunday, Colaton Raleigh have entered two teams in a 16 team knock-out tournament which will include sides of Devon and Exeter Premier league standard. This should prove a good benchmark of the progress the squad is making.
