On an amazingly hot and sunny Wednesday the ladies played a par competition for the Centenary Trophy, a cup donated for the ladies’ centenary year in 2007, writes Penny Ashby.
A few of us found this a demanding format since it doesn’t allow for many errors!
Not so Sue Billinghurst, who won the competition on count back from Sheila Thomson with an all-square score.
Holes-in-one come along rarely in a golfer’s lifetime and this columnist omitted to congratulate Bob Reynolds in last weeks report.
Bob achieved his hole-in-one on the tricky 12th in last week’s Mixed Open – congratulations to him!
