Sidmouth and Ottery Ladies III 10, White Eagles III 0

Sidmouth and Ottery Ladies III made a stunning start to their new life.

They set a terrific pace from the first whistle. Setting a truly storming pace right from the start with Georgie Hellier opening the scoring. A quick-fire double from Jane Roberts extended the early advantage.

The visitors looked to counter-attack, but got little change out of Mary Ackland, Jan Moore and Suzanne Thorpe who kept a disciplined line in front of keeper Becca Rushworth.

At the start of the second half Norma Rich struck twice before Sarah Dean hit the sixth. Roberts then notched her hat-trick goal, and quickly bagged a fourth before Dean slotted her second and Rich completed her hat-trick to round off the scoring.

Captain, Katie Parr was thrilled with her team’s outstanding performance and their commitment shown on the pitch.

The Sidmouth and Ottery Ladies IV drew 1-1 in their league opener with Teign III with Maggie Roberts the scorer. Captain Maggie Heal, playing as a stand-in keeper made some fine saves.
