Sidmouth Warriors Under-11s were worthy winners when they defeated Millwey Rise 2-0.

Warriors began with a good tempo to their game and their early endeavours were rewarded by a clinical finish from Charlie Roberts.

The game then began to become end-to-end. Warriors went close to doubling their lead whilst Millwey Rise proved themselves to be sharp and that meant lots of work for the Warriors defenders and some fine goal keeping from Freddie Eul Barker.

In the second half Warriors were the dominant force and their desire to attack at every opportunity was finally rewarded when Will crick looked to have scored, but a flag was raised and the ‘goal’ chalked off.

Eul Barker was called into action to make two smart saves before, at the other end of the pitch, young Crick set off on a weaving run before sliding the ball beyond an out-rushing glovesman to seal an impressive victory for the Warriors.
