Beer Albion Reserves were in high-scoring form at the Furzebrake, beating Starcross Generals 7-0 in a Macron Devon and Exeter League Division Four game, writes Richard Honnor.

Taylor Rooke was sponsor Dolphin Hotel’s Man of the Match award winner – the young striker making his mark in the contest with a fine hat-trick.

Nathan Newbury (sp? Newbury or Newbery sp?), Tommy Neale, Jay Catley and an own goal were the other scorers.

The game was evenly contested early on, but after Newbery’s (?sp?) 15-minute strike the Fishermen took complete control with midfielder Jason Webber using the ball well. There was some fine football on display from the Fishermen’s promising young side, which augurs well for the club’s future.
