Sidmouth and Ottery Hockey Club (SOHC) men’s first team went down 5-1 at the hands of a energetic Bristol University team.
SOHC trailed 3-0 at the break with at least two of the goals they conceded being of the ‘soft’ variety!
In the second half SOHC were much improved and began to move the ball well.
A loose ball in the D from a Charlie King drag flick allowed a tap in for Billy Rudolph, but it was a case of too little too late.
A team member said: “Once again we regretted our missed chances in front of goal, a couple of which were denied by some great saves from their keeper. Despite the result there were plenty of positives to take from the hockey we played. Onwards and upwards!”
