Exciting times ahead at Sidmouth RFC

Sidmouth RFC are gearing up for the new season after a busy summer at Blackmore.

With Neil Clark the new forwards coach, bringing a wealth of experience to the club to work alongside head coach Max Handsford.

Factor in the influx of new players into the squad these are exciting times for Sidmouth rugby club, as they enter their fourth season playing South West One rugby.

Club captain Sam Richardson said “Neil Clark coming in and new players coming in will only strengthen Sidmouth rugby across all three teams, if anyone would like to be a part of what we’re trying to achieve then we urge you to come down to training now and be a part of our club”.

The first meaningful action for the Sidmouth sides arrives in the coming weeks.

The 1st XI (Chiefs) begin with a trip to Okehampton next Saturday (August 20) whilst the 2nd XV host Crediton 2nds on September 3 and the same day the Sidmouth 3rds travel to Crediton 3rds. The Sidmouth Colts begin their season with an August 27 home game against Barnstaple.
