Sidmouth RFC U13s have had nine players selected to join the East Devon and Exeter Development squad.

Sidmouth RFC U13s have had nine players selected to join the East Devon and Exeter Development squad. Current Rugby Football Union policy is to identify elite players at a young age and the 44-man development squad is the first step on a ladder to playing rugby at the top level. Of the eight clubs and 89 boys represented at a highly competitive and gruelling trial, Sidmouth have the joint largest contingent through. The Sidmouth boys have already attended the RFU School of Rugby and they will continue to train during this season, culminating in further trials for the prestigious U14 School of Rugby in Exeter. The nine boys selected were Jack Faulkner, Will Jenkins, Haydon Down, Christian Goddard, Xennon Kearns, Jack Harris, Sam Carlisle, Martyn Welsford, Jack Webber.
