TERRY O'BRIEN REPLIESView from the blindside? Surely a Grauniad moment; shouldn't it read blind view from the side? This commentator certainly didn't watch the same game as I did. Soft Sidmouth? - the players needing first aid treatment were predominantly wearing red and black not green.Penalty count is a measure of illegal play not hardness.Sure we were inconvenienced in a few scrums but the lineouts were even and Sidmouth were more mobile in the loose.Old Reds had two try scoring chances and took them, the other was an interception. Sidmouth had six and took three.Territorial advantage - Sidmouth, quality of tries scored - Sidmouth, fitness levels - Sidmouth, resiliance and self belief - Sidmouth, POINTS SCORED - Sidmouth.Even the most die hard Old Red agreed that Sidmouth were the better side on the day.And thanks for the great support. It was as good as having a sixteenth man. And that is not cheating, we earned it by having the better league record for the season.
