Despite the scoreline, the Quins showed plenty of courage and were unfortunate not to score themselves against Torquay, writes Steve Channing.
The first 10 minutes belonged to the visitors who got the ball wide as often as they could. There was a solid debut from Rob Mew, who was, perhaps, harshly sin-binned in the first half.
John Hamill at 9 made a welcome return, along with Andy Matchett. All the backs tackled well and, on numerous occasions, were fingertips away from scoring. Chris Pike showed signs of what a player he could be, having a solid game in the second row.
John Kitchen, as captain, worked hard all through the game, encouraging his team till the final whistle.
●This weekend sees the visit of merit table leaders, Brixham, to the Blackmore.
The Quins will have to raise their game to get a result.
