Sidmouth Under-16s powered to success at Withycombe.

The Chiefs fielded a mix of old and new players, which were all rotated to ensure plenty of game time and experience in different positions for all.

Withycombe were a strong and well motivated side who never gave up competing, the larger squad of Sidmouth players managed to keep the intensity high throughout the game. The forwards looked well disciplined and the benefits of the training both in terms of lifting and the scrum engagement look to be paying off.

It was a good team performance by the Sidmouth squad, the tries came from both forward and backs with many players having the confidence to run with the ball.

The Under-16 league this year is a competitive league made up initially of teams in East and Mid Devon.

This weekend the Under-16s play their third league game of the campaign when they entertain Honiton at the Blackmore.
