Sidmouth Under-14s have to much power for battling Honiton

Sidmouth Under-14s had too much power for opponents Honiton in their latest meeting.

Honiton have worked hard to retain a faltering U14 outfit this season and great admiration was shown to their squad’s tenacity in this game.

Sidmouth, however, scored several tries before the halfway stage and it was agreed to change the rules of the game and mix up the two squads for the second half.

A more even, if a little disorganised, game then took place and produced moments of excellence from all playing.

Some coaching was also interjected to re-establish structure and all squad members played out a thoroughly enjoyable morning’s rugby.

Next up for the Under-14s is this coming weekend’s visit to Dorchester.

Coach Craig Morgan says: “This next game is a new fixture and it is very likely that this will be a much tougher encounter for the team. It should be a challenge they enjoy.”
