Sidmouth Under-15s once again travel to Totnes and return victorious

A shortage of available pitches meant another trip to Totnes for the Sidmouth Under-15s to see action, and they served up a fine all-round show to defeat the home side 26-12.
Having already won this term at the venue Sidmouth arrived to find that Totnes were a few players stronger and clearly determined to make amends and a sluggish visiting side struggled to contain the hosts in the early exchanges and quickly slipped 5-0 behind.
Conceding the early try was clearly just what had been required to force a reaction and Pearson powered through to even things up before Harris slotted the conversion to put Sidmouth 7-5 up. A try from Franklin, scored in trademark direct style, saw Sidmouth into the break with a 12-5 lead.
The second half started in a similar vein to the first, with Totnes forwards, who were well-drilled throughout the contest, gaining quick ground and earning a try to level the scores at 12-all.
However, as with the first half, Sidmouth rallied to the early setback and made excellent use of the wind, kicking for territory. Pearson exploited the gaps for his second try and Harris converted. Mead and Turley both had tries ruled out for forward passes before Cockhayne completed the scoring.
