U11 showing promise
PUBLISHED: 15:27 11 November 2011
With only one actual fixture under their belts this season, Sidmouth U11s need game time, writes Rob Marchant.
The team and club ethos is that all players, as much as possible, play equal time, try different positions, but with two main goals – enjoyment and to do their very best.
These U11 lads stepped up and did everything that was asked of them for 35 of the 40 minutes, not bad in anyone’s book.
The five minutes of distraction allowed a well-drilled Honiton team in to score a well-worked converted try, although, to Sidmouth’s credit, this was Honiton’s only journey to their line and the damage had already been done.
Great support play, communication, passing and, eventually, the finishing, brought a well-fought victory of 48-7 to Sidmouth.
There are still things to work on, but there’s a lot of potential in each member of the team.
Team:Well done and thank you to Jack Harris on his first game of refereeing.
