Budding biathletes including Sidmouth swimmer Liz Elliot took a dip before running round the town in the Sidmouth Aquathlon.
The 600m swim and five kilometre run was won by Josh Boon in 26 minutes and 47 seconds.
The novice event was won by Michael Duckmanton in 29 minutes and 47 seconds.
