Sidmouth Running Club’s John and Cathy Keast wore their Mighty Green shirts as they took on the Trellech Beacon Dash in South Wales.
This event is a 10k cross-country race organised by The Spirit of Monmouth Running Club.
The route is mostly along forest paths and forest fire breaks in the Wye Valley.
Much of the first two miles were uphill to a trig point, giving fantastic views. Cathy finished in a time of 1:06:53, which saw her cross the line 161st.
She was greeted at the end by an already changed John, who completed the race in under an hour – finishing in 51:39 for an 85th placed finish.
