Sidmouth Warriors Under-11s made a flying start to the new season with a 5-1 victory over Copplestone Cobras.

Playing up the slope in the first half, the home team bossed possession and soon began to create chances.

Stanley Richardson enjoyed the extra space the 9-a-side pitch allows and caused the visiting defence no end of problems!

He supplied a series of fine crosses before tucking away two goals for himself. Brad Hill added a third with a smart finish after another fine build-up. On a hot and tiring day, the second half began at a lower tempo. The Warriors kept their shape well and added two more goals from Tim Goody and Samuel Rice.

Harry Saunders was exceptional on his debut, but with all 13 players involved this was a brilliant team performance on the opening day of the season.
