Clyst Valley 2, Colaton Raleigh 3 Raleigh produced a superb second half display to over turn a half-time deficit and bag another Fresha League Division One success on Wednesday night.
Rikki Pitter’s men were trailing 2-0 when a late first half goal from Tony Cox gave them hope heading into the break.
It was clearly an inspirational interval chat from Pitter with his men that was the catalyst for a sensational second half from Raleigh.
They were level when the predominantly left0-footed Cox used his right foot to slot hoe after a fine run and cross from Damo Armes and, in the final minute the comeback was completed, and in some style too!
Mark Pavey picked the ball up in midfield, advanced between two defenders and then, from the edge of the area, unleashed a fierce shot that sailed past the keeper before nestling in the top corner of the Clyst Valley net.
