Existing members extended a warm welcome to those who attended the three open sessions held at the club during May and that will be again the order of the day this Sunday morning between 10-noon, and at the same time the following Sunday, July 13, which sees the holding of similar events. With Wimbledon finals being held this weekend, Sunday morning should provide an ideal opportunity for those who want to take up the game, and there is no better place to play than Sidmouth Tennis Club. Membership fees are at a competitive level, with significant reductions for those who live away and thus only pay periodic visits to the town. In response to the recent increase in membership, coaching programmes are now available and there has been an increase in the regular sessions held throughout the week.On the social front, members of the club will have the chance to meet up with each other at a barbecue being held at the club on Saturday evening, July 19.Further information can be obtained by phoning Grant Whillance on (01395) 514558.
