This season the Sidmouth ladies have managed, unusually, to play all their scheduled winter fun competitions, writes Penny Ashby.

This Wednesday was the Medford Cup, a hybrid concoction of Medal and Stableford formats, won this time by Sheila Thomson, closely followed by soon-to-be-captain Liz Chance, and by Marie Timms in third place.

Marie Timms was also the winner of last week’s Rose Bowl competition.

Liz Chance took the runners-up spot.

The Rose Basket winners last week were Pauline Dibley and Mavis Vanstone.
