On a fresh and breezes Bank Holiday Monday morning several local riders competed over a 10 mile time trial course (S26r/10) a mixture of old and new A30, writes Carlton Parker.

Doug Parker achieved a time of 23:45 closely followed by young Oil Cooper on 23:55 then Mike Rose (Exeter Wheelers) with a time of 24:19. The next event was hosted by Sid Valley CC on a far windier Wednesday evening over the same course. This time more brave Sid Valley riders rode which saw Dominic Horrell recording a time of 27:07, Paul Sexton on 26:14, Nigel Winchester with 25:21, then Doug Parker on 24:04 but the performance of the evening was produced by another young rider Jack Salvidge with a very impressive time of 22:14 and third place overall, well done Jack. The race was won by Mr Conrad Moss (Mid Devon CC) in a time of 21:08.

If you fancy a nice Sunday morning ride around beautiful East Devon with a good coffee and a piece of cake half way round or something a little bit more strenuous from a 100km Audax to a circuit road race or a local time trial then Sid Valley CC could be the club for you.
