The latest tables have been released for the East Devon Short Mat Bowls League and they show things are mighty close in the Evening League Division One and the Afternoon League Division Two.
Both sections currently have joint leaders while, in the Afternoon League Division One, the current leaders hold a two point lead, but the second placed team have a game in hand which, if they win, could leave all three divisions the same!
Sidbury A sit top of the Evening League Division One by virtue of a better shot difference than Seaton. Both sides have won eight, drawn one and lost two of their matches to date. The ‘best of the rest’ are Beer with 15 points. Ottery St Mary are currently the basement dwellers.
In the Afternoon League top division it is Beer who sit top, with Sidford Blues two points behind, but having played a game fewer.
In Division Two it’s another congested table-top with just a single point separating the top four teams!
A better points difference sees Seaton Blue ahead of Combe St Nicholas with Hemyock third and Sidmouth White fourth.
