Sidbury Under-8s were involved in an enjoyable meeting with Ottery St Mary Under-8s.
Sidbury batted first and maintained a respectable run rate with Esme Bagwell batting well, scoring a brace of fours in her innings. Ottery bowled well and, at the close Sidbury had posted a total of 218.
After tea Ottery went out to bat with Thomas Grove and Josh Matthews, lent to Ottery for the game, going on to become the games best pair scoring 17 during their four overs together at the wicket.
Sidbury bowled well to keep Ottery in check with Cleo Turley taking three wickets in an over, including one caught and bowled.
Will Crick, son of the renowned Sidbury bowler Steve Crick, managed to keep his team ahead with one six and a number of fours and Ottery ended victorious with their final score of 246.
