Sidbury retained the Matt Stiling trophy in a penalty shoot-out.

Sidbury retained the Matt Stiling trophy in a penalty shoot-out after a gruelling 90 minutes against local rivals Sidmouth Town, both normal time goals having been scored in the last five minutes. Sidmouth scored first and it looked as though the cup was going back to Manstone Lane until Ben Woolley, who had had a superb game, headed home with 30 seconds remaining. The match was another tight contest between the two sides. Sidbury started the better but without creating too many chances, Sidmouth began to show their pedigree as they played their way back into the game, but still neither of the keepers were troubled. The second half saw a better display from both teams and it was Sidbury keeper Martyn Parker who had to pull off a fine save, diving to his left to deny former Seagull Matt Rasmussen. Luke Ashford made an equally good save when he tipped over the bar a tremendous volley from Danny Green. Parker could do nothing about the excellent strike that sent Sidmouth in front and it looked as though they earned an excellent result as they were the better side for the last 25 minutes of the game. But Woolley made sure the game went to penalties with a superb header that left Ashford with no chance of saving and it was fitting that it was Woolley who scored the deciding penalty.
