Sidbury United travel to Elmore Reserves this Saturday hoping to get back to winning ways, having sat top of senior One for the last six weeks.Manager Mel Coombs would have liked to have seen a greater margin between them and the chasing clubs. Although the points dropped at home to East Budleigh were disappointing, when East Budleigh's win last week at home to Elmore is considered, the point might not seem too bad, especially as Elmore fielded four of their Western League side.Steve Popham should return this week, recovered from an injury sustained while playing for the reserves a couple of weeks ago. The side will be without skipper Ben Woolley and James Beverley as they are both are away skiing.Matt Rasmussen, who picked up a rib injury at Willand, is still not fully recovered but is only a week away from returning.Everyone was pleased when Matt decided to remain with the club following a transfer request from Sidmouth Town. He has been out for the last four weeks. Dean Goddard is expected to play this weekend which will be a real boost for the side.l Since Keiron Fayter-Small has returned to the team as centre half he has been a revelation, and was voted Player of the Month for January. It was a very tight run thing as Dan Tavender has been in superb form as sweeper and, like Keiron, has adapted well to a new position.l The draws for the Ottery-based cups have been made and they have paired Sidmouth and Sidbury, should both teams progress through their first round matches in both the Morrison Bell and Grandisson Cups. The second team face East Budleigh in the Golesworthy Cup.The Seaton Cup draws have seen both sides having to make the short trip to Seaton Town.l The second team host Okehampton for a Senior 5 match, and hope that a win this Saturday will kick start their season as so many games have been cancelled. They lie in the bottom half of the table but a couple of wins would see them overtake a few sides above them. The game kicks off at 3pm
