Sidbury United were clearly in a mood to make up for a fortnight of weather-enforced inactivity when they beat Seaton Town 7-0 at Byes Lane.

Dane Gale and Adam Connett both scored hat-tricks and there was also a goal from Dave Green.

The victory was the fourth of a current six game unbeaten home sequence since promotion on the top flight at the start of the campaign.

Only University and Hatherleigh of the six teams to visit Byes Lane for Fresha League top flight games this season have scored goals with United keeping four clean sheets five times already this season, though none away – yet!

Tomorrow (Saturday) they begin a run of three away matches with a trip to basement side Budleigh Salterton Reserves who have conceded 93 goals in 13 league and cup matches so far this term. A repeat of last Saturday’s seven goals would take Budleigh past the century for goals conceded this season!

After the Budleigh game United visit Elmore (December 6) and Newtown (December 13) before their nest Byes Lane outing, the December 20 visit of Chard Town Reserves.

United head into tomorrow’s game sitting seven on 15 points in what is a very closely knit top half of the Fresha League Premier Division table.

Just a brace of points separate the sides sitting third to ninth!
