This is the fourth year the club has held such a competition and the 2017 offering was blessed with excellent weather which all helped to make it a special day on and off the court.

A dozen ladies took part representing Sidmouth, Torquay, Exwick and Sidford Tennis Clubs.

Apart from the tennis – which was of a high quality – the main event was, of course, to raise funds for the charity and a magnificent sum of £244 was put together following a lovely lunch and delicious cream tea!

The club would like to say a big thank you to all the players who supported the event.

Congratulations must be recorded to the finalists who were Anna Kellaher, Vici Topping, Debbie Snelgrove and Katherine Houghton.

There are also special thanks due to the competition referee Paul Carter and also to the Sidford Tennis Club ladies who did all the catering.
