Sidmouth 3rd XI were in no mood to hang about on their visit to Clyst Hydon 2nds for an F Division East game.

The home team won the toss, batted first, and were bundled out in just 15.3 overs! Lee Clayden (5-46) from eight and Wes Holmes (2-45 from four), opened the bowling and first change Jordan Fowler then sent down 3.3 overs for his return of 3-2 as the home side were all out for 93.

The Sidmouth batters made sure of an early finish as just 10.5 overs were required to seal a nine wicket win! Jash Patidar (18) was the only wicket to fall as his father Saj (35) and Louis Adey (33) saw Sidmouth to victory.

This Saturday (July 14), Sidmouth III, who trail leaders Bradninch by five points, will regain top spot in the table if they defeat fourth in the table Clyst St George as the table-toppers are without a match.
