Sidmouth A find life tough against a classy David Lloyd side

PUBLISHED: 15:35 25 October 2013 | UPDATED: 15:35 25 October 2013

Sidmouth A travelled to face David Lloyd last Thursday somewhat in trepidation after gaining zero points on home turf just two weeks previously, writes Leslie Cranston.

On this occasion the Ladies avoided the whitewash with Viv Bess and Debbie Snelgrove gaining two points in their straight sets defeat of the opposition seconds.

The first couple, as expected, proved too strong for both Sidmouth pairs, with new combination of Georgia Hanson and Hilary Caldwell facing formidable opponents in their initial outing together.

There’s no respite for the A team as their next match is against runaway winners of the Summer League Division Three, Victoria Park.
