Last week saw the penultimate game of this year’s Exeter and District men’s Over-60s League matches, writes Carol Smith.
Sidmouth A were involved in a close contest against a Hemyock side that won the match by just four shots at 36-32.
This defeat has finally ended any hopes the team had of promotion. They have slipped to fifth in Division Two, but they will continue in the second tier next season when – with a little more luck – they may be able to make the step up into the top division.
Sidmouth B were in away action with a trip to Topsham where they claimed a most worthy six points. The B team remain in the lower half in Division Three, but their status us secure and they will line up at the same level next year.
