Sidmouth and Ottery II 1, Kingsbridge and Salcombe 8 There was more Devon Trophy semi-final woe for the SOHC ladies II when they were put to the sword by a strong and confident South Devon side.
Last year’s semi-final exit had been on penalty flicks, but this was much more emphatic.
The current Petroc League leaders were restricted to just one goal in the first half during which time SOHC produced a magnificent all-round show. The pace was brisk and work load high all over the park. Vicky Borostan had a brilliant half, dominating her goal and making numerous saves, and it was no more than SOHN deserved when a Karen Dutton penalty flick sent the teams into half-time all square.
After the break a couple of sin-binnings coupled with tired legs, saw the South Devon side take advantage to run in seven unanswered goals.
