Exeter III 0, SOHC II 0

Sidmouth and Ottery Ladies’ II travelled to Exeter on Saturday to meet Exe III, writes Emma Dalton.

Both teams started brightly, each clearly determined to bank their first points of the new season.

The action was end-to-end and both sides created, and spurned, opportunities to score.

SOHC enjoyed the better of the second half, but could not break down a hard-working and well organised home defence.

The match was certainly much more exciting than a 0-0 score line suggests!

Tomorrow (Saturday) the third team entertain Newton Abbot at the Colin Tooze Sports Centre (2pm).
