Duncan Taylor won the Aylmer Cup to add to his recent success in the Handicap Cup and Scratch Cup, writes Chris Roberts.
Taylor put together the lowest gross score of the day, a two under par gross round which included four birdies of which two where two’s and a eagle three on the 13th.
Second was Stuart Ruffle with a very impressive net 62. John Jones was third with a net 65 including four birdies. He edged Graham Davies, who also had a net 65, into third on countback.
All these scores are more impressive when you consider the pins where in there tough positions ready for Sunday’s picture match.
