Sidmouth B team went down to a heavy defeat on their visit to Downes Crediton, writes George Carr.
It has been said it is sometimes better to travel hopefully than to arrive; this was certainly true of Colin Macklin’s B team on their visit to Mid Devon!
Simon Knowles and Steve Channing provided the lone Sidmouth success with an excellent five-and-three victory.
Last minute replacement Terry Carter’s sat-navy guided him to the correct golf course (it is not always the case) after which it deserted him entirely and left him and his partner Roger Freer to find their own way to a six-and-five defeat, the day’s best/worst margin - happy golfing gentlemen!
