Sidmouth Badminton Club return to action on Wednesday September 6, for what all connected with the club hope will be another enjoyable and successful campaign, writes Grace Williams.

Last season, Sidmouth ladies were the Division 3A champions, winning the league by one point after a thrilling final match against runners-up Chulmleigh. The ladies went along to the Exeter and District Badminton League Presentation Evening to collect the trophy, and are likely to be promoted to Division 2 for this season.

The club are very keen to attract new members and are able to offer an excellent mix of both social and competitive badminton.

Each season, men’s, ladies’ and mixed teams from the club play in various divisions of the Exeter and District Badminton League, resulting in competitive matches across all levels.

So, if you’re new to the area and are looking for a club, come long and have a game! Or, if you play badminton, but are not yet part of a club, why not drop in and see what it’s all about?
