Sidmouth ladies took on a Torquay United side that included both national champions and England internationals when they contested a Top Club fixture, writes Susie Bonnell.
It was Torquay who took the overall honours, but Sidmouth’s Jane Painter
Was a winner.
Playing in the two-wood singles, Jane won 17-9.
Sidmouth’s Mason A team had a first round bye, but there was action for the B team who played Budleigh Salterton in the Masons first round.
Sidmouth ladies were 35-25 winners and will now meet Honiton in the next round.
