Sidmouth bowler Jill Bishop is into the last 32 of the national Champion of Champions competitions, writes Susie Bonnell.
Jill met Ottery St Mary’s Shirley Fewtrell in the fourth round.
The contest was played at Ottery and conditions were far from ideal with a squally wind making life difficult for both bowlers.
However, both managed to produce some fine bowling, but it was Jill who emerged the winner with the final score being 23 shots to 14.
All at Sidmouth Bowling Club wish Jill continued success in this most prestigious of national competitions.
