Sidmouth Bowling Club are now back in full swing for the Autumn/winter Indoor bowling season, writes Susie Bonnell.
Although we don’t play against our friends from Axminster in the summer outdoor season, we always know we will see them as soon as the indoor season gets going. Axminster duly pitched up to play on the three indoor rinks at Sidmouth.
There were some big scores - for and against Sidmouth - on two of the rinks, with the middle rink having a good tussle all the way through the game.
At the end of the game the aggregate score showed a difference of only eight shots - in Sidmouth’s favour - with a win on two of the three rinks.
The highest scoring rink for Sidmouth was scored by skip, Ken Wheeler, with his team Anita Mason, Ray Tallent and Pat Hague.
