Sidmouth were honoured to welcome the men’s Devon County president’s team versus Sidmouth, writes Susie Bonnell.
Sidmouth’s captain, Mike Borst, welcomed the Devon County president, Colin Healy, and his team, made up of players from all over the county.
It was, as always, a highly competitive game, strongly contested by Sidmouth, who only lost by four shots overall.
The top scoring rink for Sidmouth was led by Mike Borst, with his fellow players, Ray Tallent, Chas Coates and Ron Cook. Sidmouth’s ladies played their part by providing a bowler’s tea at the halfway mark, with a delicious selection of sandwiches and homemade cakes. The weather was relatively kind and a good time was had by all.
