At our last club AGM, we voted for long term member Ann Capon to be our President.
Ann has been an active member and a very good bowler for over 25 years, including spells as Vice-Captain and Captain, Competition Secretary and also Press Officer.
We all congratulate Ann and wish her a very successful and enjoyable term of office.
Sidmouth men played their second match of the County Over 60's League against Torquay United. After a great start, Sidmouth were up on three of the four rinks, and a score of Sidmouth 42 Torquay 37. Sadly, the wheels came off big time and we slumped to a 60 - 102 loss.
However, we did have a winning rink, Bill Sheerman, Chas Coates, Wilf Radburn and skip Brian Smith, who won by 2 shots 24 -22. In this game, it’s three points for a winning rink and eight bonus points for the overall win.
