Sidmouth businessman, Jim Edwards, has once again shown terrific support to Sidmouth Bowling Club by sponsoring the club’s tournament, writes Susie Bonnell.
It takes place this Saturday (July 9) when bowlers will pitch up at Sidmouth Bowls Club having journeys from far and wide to not only compete for the cash prize and trophy, but to enjoy a wonderful day of high-class bowling and socialise with old friends and rivals.
Its great to see Sidmouth businesses getting behind this event and, as one of its sponsors, Jim Edwards of Right Move (Edwards) has presented the club with a plaque to display in the clubhouse.
We managed to get a photo of the presentation taken in sunshine - with tournament organiser Ron Cook and men’s vice captain Mike Borst – and the presence of the sun is perhaps (and hopefully) a good omen for similar weather on Saturday!
It is hoped that lots of people from the town will wander down and take in some of the action for it promises to be an occasion when Sidmouth is graced by some top-class bowling.
