Sidmouth pulled off a remarkable victory when they defeated visiting Weston-super-Mare in a thrilling South West Federation Golf Croquet Level Play League match.
The contest, one of 20 games, saw two well-match teams going head-to-head.
With just three games remaining, the visitors held a two game lead at nine-and-a-half to seven-and-a-half.
Sidmouth’s Graeme Pryor then served up a convincing 7-1 success and this was followed by a 7-3 triumph for Andrew Thomas.
It was left to captain Philip Harris to guide his team home and his delivered the goods to win the final game 7-3 to seal a single point success for the home team.
