Here’s our weekly report from Sidmouth chairman Fionn Wardrop.

He reports: “Availability looks good this weekend with three strong teams selected. Max Hancock gets a start in the 1st XI game at Torquay. Max is a 15-year-old left arm spinner who recently played at the Bunbury Festival. He also broke the Devon U15s tour record for wickets taken on their winter visit to South Africa, so it will be interesting to see how he goes.

“Anthony Griffiths steps down to strengthen the 2nd XI who, with Dec Lines being away, are skippered by Nick Mansfield.

“The 2nd XI play at Woodbury CC this Saturday, with The Fortfield turned over to Folk Festival parking.

“Saj Patidar leads the 3rds again and has arguably the strongest 3rd XI of the season at his disposal as they face Chudleigh 2nds at Newton Poppleford.”
